Learn

Learn Minda: what to say, where to press, what it does next.

Minda Super Intelligence is an AI agent app for your computer that you can talk to. Say “Minda” and it opens sites, reads pages and its replies aloud, fills forms, turns meetings and videos into text, researches with sources and makes calls for you, and it stops for your OK before anything that pays. Every plan has every function.

The short version for people with disabilities: Minda for people with disabilities.

For students

Learn faster, and check every source.

Minda helps you learn and check your sources. What you hand in is your own work; follow your school's rules on AI help.

Minda's Research mode: a report with a three-line TL;DR, findings that end in numbered citations, and a Sources list.

Students

Research a topic, with sources you can check

A short report built from pages Minda really read, each fact ending in a numbered source.

  1. Press Alt+Q on Windows, or the chat button in the toolbar, to open the SI chat.
  2. Open the Modes menu in the chat box and switch on Research, or type /research.
  3. Send your question. Minda plans, searches, reads the pages and writes a report: a TL;DR, Findings with [1] [2] after each fact, and Sources, only the pages it read.
  4. Open a source by its number to check it, then Share and save the report as PDF or Word for your notes.

Try saying“Minda, research how cities along the Mississippi manage spring floods, with sources.”

Cite the sources, not Minda.

The SI chat turning a biology page into a study guide: key concepts, common mistakes and practice questions with the answers at the end.

Students

Turn any page into a study guide, flashcards or a tutor

Learn the page in front of you instead of copying it.

  1. Open the page you are studying and press Alt+Q.
  2. Type /study and your level, such as “/study 10th grade”: the 5 to 8 key concepts, how they connect, common mistakes and 8 practice questions, with the answers at the end. Anything Minda adds from general knowledge is marked.
  3. Type /flashcards for 15 cards you can import into Anki or Quizlet.
  4. Type /tutor and a topic: Minda asks one question at a time, says what you got right and asks a harder one.

Try typing“/tutor the causes of the American Revolution”

These are three of the 36 ready-made skills in Settings, Skills, Gallery, under Education.

Meeting notes on a Zoom class: each line marked You or Others with its time, and the note's summary and action items.

StudentsDeaf or hard of hearing

A class, meeting or video as text

Every word of a Zoom class or a recorded lecture as text you can read, search and keep.

  1. On Google Meet, Zoom on the web, Teams or any tab, press Take meeting notes in the toolbar.
  2. A card shows each line as it is said, with its time, marked You or Others. The microphone button leaves your own voice out of the notes.
  3. Press Stop: the note ends with a summary, decisions and action items.
  4. For a video, ask the SI chat for its transcript, then for a summary. The page tools also translate a page and read the text in a picture on Windows.

Try saying“Minda, summarize this video and list the terms I should know.”

Free with your own OpenAI key or Windows' own recognizer, Minda SI credits otherwise. Audio is never saved, and the note names only You and Others.

If you have a disability

The web by voice, by ear and with fewer clicks.

Minda is not a screen reader and replaces nothing you use today. It does the searching, reading, clicking, typing and calling you ask for. The short version: Minda for people with disabilities.

The voice pill at the bottom of the page showing Minda's spoken answer, your words in the chat, and Read replies aloud switched on in the Modes menu.

Blind or low visionReading is hard

Hear the page, and every reply

A long page becomes a short answer you can listen to, and every reply is read to you.

  1. Press the microphone button in the toolbar, or Alt+W on Windows. The first time, a notice says where your voice goes; press Turn on Minda voice.
  2. Say “Minda, what does this page say?” Minda speaks the answer and the pill at the bottom of the page shows its words; yours appear in the chat.
  3. In the chat box, open Modes and switch on Read replies aloud: every reply is read as it finishes. The speaker under any reply reads that one.
  4. Your computer's own voice is free; a natural Minda voice uses credits. Pick one in the microphone's menu.

Try saying“Minda, open npr.org and read me the page.”

The SI agent filling a library form in its own tab, stopped at a card that says Needs your OK with Allow and Deny, and the same card on a phone.

Hard to use a mouse or keyboard

Let the SI agent do the clicking and typing

Forms filled, pages found and buttons pressed for you, in tabs you never have to reach.

  1. Press Alt+Q, or just say “Minda”, and say what you want done in plain words.
  2. The SI agent opens the page in a hidden tab and clicks, types and fills the form on its own. A live checklist shows each step; Show tab brings that page on screen.
  3. Before anything that pays, or when you said “for my review”, a card says Needs your OK: press Allow or Deny.
  4. The same card reaches Minda on your phone: Allow, Deny or Stop from there. Log-ins and CAPTCHAs are yours: take over, then hand the page back.

Try saying“Minda, renew my books on my public library's site, for my review.”

Settings, Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Q opens the AI chat and Alt+W turns Minda's microphone on or off, each with a Change button.

Keyboard usersAnyone

Keys you can change

Every command on one page, with the keys that run it now, and any key you like instead.

  1. Open Settings, Keyboard shortcuts.
  2. Alt+Q opens the AI chat and Alt+W turns Minda's microphone on or off; Chrome's own keys work as before.
  3. Press Change on a row and press the keys you want. × turns a command's keys off; Reset brings its default back, and Reset all shortcuts every one's.
  4. If another app already takes a key, the row says so; press Ask AI to fix and the chat finds one that works. Your keys follow you to your other computers.

Try typing“Set Ctrl+Shift+M to turn Minda's microphone on or off.”

Larger text with Font size and Page zoom in Settings, the selection menu's Explain and Summarize, and a misspelled word fixed as you type.

Low visionReading or writing is hard

Bigger text, simpler words, spelling fixed as you type

Pages you can read, and writing you can send without worry.

  1. Settings, Appearance, Fonts and page zoom: pick a larger Font size and a Page zoom such as 125%. Or say “Minda, zoom in.”
  2. Select hard words on any page and choose Explain or Summarize; Translate puts them in your language.
  3. In a text box, select your own words and choose Fix grammar, Rewrite or Shorten; Ctrl+Z undoes it.
  4. Auto-correct fixes a misspelled word as you type the space after it, with no AI and nothing sent: “recieve” becomes “receive”, and Ctrl+Z puts your word back.

Try asking, with words selected“Explain this in simpler words.”

Auto-correct is English only for now, in Minda and in Minda SI for Chrome.

Minda talking on a WhatsApp call for you: it says it is an AI, the other person answers, and a card lets you take over.

Speaking is hardAnyone

Have Minda make the call, and talk for you if you want

A phone, WhatsApp or Telegram call placed for you; on a web call, Minda can speak for you.

  1. Say who to call and how: “Call Riverside Dental on WhatsApp.” You asked in your own words, so Minda places it; in Careful mode, or when a page or a mail asked for the call, a card waits for Allow or Deny. Minda calls only a number you gave or one the chat showed.
  2. Minda opens the call in your own WhatsApp Web or Telegram Web tab, or hands the number to your computer's phone app. By default you do the talking.
  3. Add “talk for me” and what to ask: Minda says it is an AI calling for you, follows what you asked and tells you what was said.
  4. Take over the call at any time; Minda never hangs up on you.

Try saying“Minda, call Riverside Dental on WhatsApp and ask if they have an opening Thursday afternoon. Talk for me.”

A call Minda talks on uses Minda SI credits, and the call's audio goes to Minda SI.

Anyone who needs a hand

New to computers? Just say it.

No menus to learn: say what you want, and ask when you are unsure.

A spoken conversation with Minda about today's calendar, and the first-use notice that says where your voice goes.

New to computersOlder adults

Just talk to it

Say what you want, the way you would to a person.

  1. Press the microphone button once. From then on, say “Minda” and what you want: “open my email”, “search for a pharmacy near me”.
  2. In the microphone's menu, switch on Live conversation: Minda talks back like a person, you can interrupt it, and it asks when it is not sure.
  3. Ask the SI chat for a reminder, “remind me at 3 pm to call Dana”: a notification with a sound, and no credits.
  4. Want your voice to stay on your computer? Turn on Keep AI on this computer in Settings: Windows' own recognizer listens and nothing is sent.

Try saying“Minda, what's on my calendar today?”

Questions

Asked often, answered here.

Does Minda cost extra for students or people with disabilities?

No. Every plan has every function, Free included, and reading aloud with your computer's own voice costs nothing. Minda SI credits pay for its hosted models as you use them: Free has 100 a month and Pro, at $25 a month, 2,000. Your own AI key or Ollama uses no credits.

Will Minda do my homework for me?

It is built to help you learn. Research mode writes a report with numbered sources you can check, the study guide marks anything it adds from general knowledge, and the tutor asks you one question at a time. What you hand in is your own work; follow your school's rules on AI help.

Is Minda a screen reader?

No. Minda does the searching, reading, clicking and typing you ask for, by voice or by keys, and reads pages and its replies aloud with your computer's own voice. It does not replace the tools you already use.

Where does my voice go?

Each stretch of speech, a clip of up to 12 seconds, goes to OpenAI with your own key or to Minda's hosted models on credits. Turn on Keep AI on this computer and Windows' own recognizer listens instead, with nothing sent; on macOS and Linux that turns the voice assistant off.

Can I use Minda today?

Not yet. Minda for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) is coming soon, and macOS and Linux builds are not published. Every step on this page is in the app as it will ship.

Say “Minda”.

Then say what you need. Minda takes it from there, and checks with you before anything costs money.
