Are my PDFs uploaded when I use a tool?
Most tools never send the file anywhere: the work happens inside your web browser. Translate PDF sends the words to be translated, Ask AI sends your question with the text it needs, and PDF to PowerPoint sends a picture page only if you switch on reading picture pages.
Which tool reads a scanned PDF?
OCR PDF. It finds the words on each scanned page so you can search and copy them, or takes them out into Word, Markdown or plain text. Run it first when you want to translate a scan.
