Brief me every morning on news about my topics

Every morning at 7am, Minda searches the last 24 hours of news on your topics and gives you the 5 to 8 stories that matter. It is a ready-made task for the SI agent in Minda Super Intelligence. It runs daily at 7am. You fill in [topics, companies or people], [trusted sources] and [my work or interest].

In Minda: Tasks → New → Browse tasks → Brief me every morning on news about my topics. Minda Super Intelligence for Windows is coming soon.

What you get

  • Stories that matter to you Each story comes with a 2-line summary, why it matters to your work or interest, and the link.

  • Original reporting first It prefers original reporting and your trusted sources over reposts, and merges stories about one event, naming the best source.

  • No repeats from yesterday It compares with yesterday's brief and skips stories you already got.

  • Rumors labeled as rumors A rumor only appears if two reliable outlets report it, and it is labeled as one.

Why use this?

The morning news search is done for you: only the last 24 hours, with stories you saw yesterday dropped. It ends with the one story to read in full.

The full prompt

This is what the SI agent is asked to do. The parts in brackets are what you fill in.

Every morning, search the last 24 hours of news on [topics, companies or people]. Prefer [trusted sources, optional] and original reporting over reposts. Give me the 5-8 stories that matter, each with a 2-line summary, why it matters to [my work or interest], and the link. Merge stories about the same event and name the best source. Rules: only stories published in the last 24 hours; no rumors unless two reliable outlets report them, and label them as such; if nothing new happened on a topic, say 'nothing new'. Compare with yesterday's brief and skip stories I already got. Finish with the one story to read in full.

Who is it for?

  • Founders watching companies You want news on the companies and people that matter to your work each morning.

  • Analysts following topics You need a short list with links of what happened in the last day on each topic.

  • People following a few topics You read the news on the same few topics every morning and want that done before you sit down.

Frequently asked questions

What do I get at the end?

Between 5 and 8 stories from the last 24 hours, each with a 2-line summary and the link. Stories from yesterday's brief are left out, and it finishes with the one story to read in full.

What if nothing happened on a topic?

It says 'nothing new' for that topic instead of padding the brief with older stories.

Does it include rumors?

Not unless two reliable outlets report them, and then it labels them as rumors.

Can I choose the sources?

Yes. You can list trusted sources and it prefers them, and it prefers original reporting over reposts. The list is optional.

What do I fill in?

Your topics, companies or people, an optional list of trusted sources, and your work or interest, which it uses to say why each story matters.

When does it run?

Every morning at 7am once you save it as a workflow. You can also start it yourself.
