Draft a card update mail when a payment fails

When your payment tool reports a failed payment, Minda drafts a kind mail that asks the customer to update their card. It is a ready-made workflow in Minda Super Intelligence, and you can change any step before you save it. You can run it in the Minda app on your computer or on Minda's cloud under your Minda account.

The computer version runs in the Minda app: Automations → Templates → Draft a card update mail when a payment fails. Minda Super Intelligence for Windows is coming soon.

What you get

  • A kind mail, drafted The AI writes three sentences: which plan or order it was for, that nothing is lost yet, and a request to update the card.

  • No blame, no deadline The AI is told to blame no one and set no deadline, so the mail stays calm.

  • Only failed payments It reacts to calls that mention payment_failed, charge.failed, capture.denied, past_due or payment_action_required.

  • Draft in Notes or email On your computer the draft is saved in your Notes, and in the cloud it is emailed to you.

Why use this?

Your payment tool sends each failed payment to a web address of yours, and your AI drafts a short mail that asks the customer to update their card. You read it, change it if you like and send it yourself. Minda sends nothing to the customer.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect my payment tool?

Save the rule and Minda shows a web address. Paste it into your payment tool’s webhook settings so it calls that address.

Which payments does it react to?

Calls whose text contains payment_failed, charge.failed, capture.denied, past_due or payment_action_required. Refunds and disputes are ignored.

What do I fill in?

The link where a customer updates their card. It is a blank in the AI’s instruction, so fill it in before you turn the rule on.

Does it email the customer?

No. It writes a draft and sends nothing to the customer. You send the mail yourself.

Where do I find the draft?

On your computer it is saved in your Notes and a notice tells you. In the cloud it is emailed to you.

How is this different from the payment problem rule?

That one tells you about a failed, refunded or disputed payment. This one drafts the card update mail for a failed payment.
