Why does a site sign you out when you sign in to a second account?
Because a browser keeps one cookie jar, and a site keeps one session per jar. When you sign in to a second account on the same site, the new session cookie replaces the old one, and the first account is gone. Opening a second tab does not help: both tabs read the same jar. Signing out and in again all day is the usual answer, and so are a second browser, a second profile or a private window, each with its own trouble.
A workspace in Minda Super Intelligence is the fix at the right level: a separate set of cookies and sign-ins inside one window. Sign in to account A in one workspace and account B in another, and the site sees two different browsers. Both stay signed in, each in its own tab, for as long as you like. Workspaces are unlimited on every plan.
How do I make a workspace for the second account?
- Press New workspace in the left rail (the rail holds your pinned apps and your workspaces).
- Type a workspace name that says whose account it is ("Shop B", "Client: Acme", "Personal") and pick its colour. The colour marks every tab of that workspace.
- Open the site in the new workspace and sign in to the second account. The sign-in is kept in that workspace’s own cookies and nowhere else.
- Switch back to the first workspace: the first account is still signed in. Each workspace keeps its own tabs too, so the two accounts never share a tab.
- For a Google account there is a shortcut: Add Google account in the main menu makes a workspace, opens Google’s sign-in page in it, and names the workspace after the account once you are in.
How do I keep both accounts open and apart?
- One rail, both workspaces. The active workspace shows as a rounded square with an edge bar in its colour; press another to switch. Each keeps its own tabs, so the inbox of account A is never one tab away from account B’s by mistake.
- Pin the app to the rail. The + under the last app pins a site as an app in the workspace you are in. Minda grants notifications to pinned apps only, so a chat app you want to hear from goes on the rail, in the workspace of the account it belongs to.
- Side by side. Split view puts two pages next to each other (Ctrl+\, up to four pages), so the two accounts can be compared on one screen, and a link dragged a little opens in a card beside the page.
How do I tell the SI agent which account to use?
Name the workspace in your own words, next to the word workspace or account: "in the Shop B workspace, reply to every unread message", "in my Personal account, export the orders". The agent opens the page with that workspace’s sign-ins, in a tab you do not see, so the tab you are reading stays in front. Say "every account" and helpers take one account each, side by side, each in its own workspace.
Two rules keep that safe. Only your own words pick a workspace, never text on a web page, so a page cannot steer the agent into another account. And a schedule or a saved agent keeps the workspace it was made in: a weekly report made in Shop B runs in Shop B. What an agent can do once it is in, and where it stops, is in what is an AI agent.
What does a private window do, and when is it enough?
A private window keeps its cookies in memory only: sign in there, do the job, close the window, and the sign-in is gone. That is the right tool for a one-off sign-in on a shared computer, or for a session you want to leave no trace of. A private window always uses temporary chats, which are never saved.
It is the wrong tool for a second account you use every day. The sign-in has to be done again each time, a private window triggers no rules and no schedules, and the SI agent and the developer bridge never reach one. For the account you come back to, make a workspace; for the account you touch once, open a private window (New private window in the main menu).
How is a workspace different from a Chrome profile?
A profile is a whole separate window with its own everything: when you switch profiles you switch windows, and the two share nothing. That keeps accounts apart well, at the price of keeping everything else apart too, and of a window per account.
A workspace is a set of sign-ins inside one window. Each has its own cookies and its own tabs, sits on the left rail one press away, and is named in a sentence when you ask the SI agent, a schedule or a saved agent to work in it. You keep one window, one set of settings and one agent, and as many sign-ins as you need. The workspaces page shows the rail.
What do teams get?
A team gets company workspaces: an admin builds a workspace with the company’s sites in it and chooses who gets it, everyone or a department such as Sales. Each member’s Minda opens with it ready, in its own cookie partition, so company sign-ins stay apart from personal browsing. Its sites sit in each member’s rail and cannot be renamed, removed or moved by them; members may add their own apps beside them.
Minda shares no passwords: each person signs in to those sites themselves. Admins set policies but see none of a member’s browsing data. When someone leaves or is removed, their computer removes the company’s workspaces and wipes their cookies and site data the next time it reads its teams. Company workspaces, policies and one bill come with paid seats, $30 a member a month or $300 a year, with a 14-day trial and no card; a team has up to 10 workspaces of 20 sites each and 20 departments. Creating or joining a team is on every plan, and team data is stored as plain text on Minda’s server, not end-to-end encrypted. The teams page has the policies.
Limits
- A private window keeps nothing: close it and the sign-in is gone, it triggers no rules, and the SI agent and the developer bridge never reach one.
- A company workspace needs the team’s paid seats, and team data is stored as plain text on Minda’s server, not end-to-end encrypted.
- A team has up to 10 company workspaces of 20 sites each; personal workspaces are unlimited.
- Whether a site allows two accounts at all is the site’s own rule: a workspace keeps the sessions apart, it does not change the site’s terms.
Questions
Can I open two WhatsApp Web or Instagram accounts at once?
Yes. A workspace is a separate set of cookies, so the site sees each one as a different browser: sign in to the second account in a second workspace and both stay open, each in its own tab. Pin the app to the rail if you want its notifications.
Does a second workspace cost anything?
No. Workspaces are unlimited on every plan, Free included, each with its own cookies and sign-ins. Only a company workspace, built by a team admin for its members, needs the team’s paid seats.
Do I have to give Minda my passwords?
No. You sign in to each account yourself, as on any site, and the workspace keeps that session in its own cookies. Minda shares no passwords; the SI agent works in the session that is already open.
Can the agent use the wrong account by mistake?
Only your own words pick a workspace, never text on a web page, and the name must stand next to the word workspace or account ("in the Shop B workspace"). A schedule or a saved agent keeps the workspace it was made in.
