llms.txt generator
An example in the shape of this site’s own file
The llms.txt convention ends with an Optional section of pages an assistant may skip; this site’s own file has none.

How to use it
- Type the site’s name and a one-sentence summary; add an About paragraph when the name alone does not say what the site is.
- Fill a section: its name (Product, Guides, Pricing) and one line per page as Title | /url | one-line blurb; press Add a section for the next.
- Put the pages an assistant may skip in the Optional section, the same way.
- Press Make llms.txt, then Copy, and save the text as llms.txt at the root of your site, next to robots.txt.
Limits
- The shape follows this site’s own llms.txt and the common llms.txt convention (an H1, a blockquote, H2 sections of links); the tool does not check your addresses or fetch anything.
- An llms.txt helps an assistant find the right page; it does not make one cite you, and a crawler blocked in robots.txt will not read it.
- The page saves nothing you type, and sends none of it anywhere.
Questions
What is an llms.txt?
A plain-text file at the root of a site, like robots.txt, that tells an AI assistant in a few lines what the site is and which pages answer which question: a heading with the name, a quoted summary, then sections of links with a blurb each. This site has one at /llms.txt.
Do I need an llms-full.txt too?
Only if you want to hand assistants the whole answer in one file: llms-full.txt holds the pages’ content, where llms.txt holds the map. Start with llms.txt; this site publishes both.
Where do I put it?
At the root of your site, served as plain text, next to robots.txt. Keep it current when pages move: an address that answers 404 helps nobody.
Is anything I type sent anywhere?
No. The file is written in your browser and the page keeps nothing. The site counts that the tool was used (the page, the event and the site that linked you), with no cookie and no id.
