Monitor a web page for changes and be told the moment it changes

To monitor a web page for changes, open it in Minda Super Intelligence, right-click the part you care about and make a rule: when it changes, notify me by notice, email or WhatsApp. It checks every few seconds while Minda is open, and a public page can be watched in the cloud while your computer is off.

Written by the Minda team, from the app as it is built, and checked against it on the date shown. Facts checked against the app on .

What does monitoring a page mean, and when is it worth it?

Monitoring a page means a program looks at it again and again and tells you when something you care about is different: a price drops under a line, a word such as "in stock" appears, a new row lands in a table, a picture changes. You stop refreshing the page yourself.

It is worth it whenever a change on a page should start work for you: a competitor changes a price, a visa appointment opens, a dashboard you are signed in to shows a new order, a job board lists a role, a supplier updates a delivery date. The hosted change-detection services check public pages from their own servers; the difference here is that Minda Super Intelligence watches from your own computer, in your own signed-in accounts, so a page behind a login is watched the same way as a public one.

Which pages can Minda watch?

  • Any page you can open, public or behind your sign-in. A rule on your computer runs in the workspace you made it in, with that workspace’s own sign-ins, so it sees what you see.
  • A part of a page, not the whole page. You pick the element with the pointer or by right-clicking it, up to six on one page, each with its own condition: a price that crosses a line, words that appear or go, items added, a picture that changes.
  • A public page or an API in the cloud. A cloud automation runs on Minda’s server while your computer is off, on a schedule or when a public page or API changes, and tells you in Minda, by email or at your webhook. Pages you are signed in to are never read there.
  • A list that grows. When what you want is every new row rather than one change, a scrape task is the better tool: it picks values on the page, follows next pages, keeps only new rows and sends them to a note, an Excel or CSV file, your own API, email or WhatsApp.

How do I set up a watch on a page?

  1. Open the page in Minda, in the workspace whose sign-in it needs. A page you open in a private window cannot be watched: private windows trigger nothing.
  2. Right-click the part of the page you want to watch (a price, a heading, a status word, a table) and choose to watch it. Add up to five more parts of the same page if you need them.
  3. Give each part its condition: it changes at all, a number crosses a line you type, words appear or go, items are added, or the picture changes.
  4. Choose how often to check, every few seconds you choose, and the hours between which it should check. Tick "only the first time" if one alert is enough.
  5. Choose what happens: a notice in Minda, a line in a note, an email, a message to your own Telegram or WhatsApp, a call to your webhook, or a read-only SI agent that reads the page and tells you what changed.
  6. Save with Ctrl+S and press Run now once. The editor tests the rule step by step, and one view shows what runs next across every automation, schedule and routine.

What can happen when the page changes?

A rule is a sentence: when something happens, if these conditions hold (all or any), do these actions in order, otherwise do those. The actions a page change can start are a notice, a note, your webhook, a read-only agent, reply drafts, a message to your own Telegram, email or WhatsApp, and opening, reading, clicking, typing and screenshots on pages.

Two limits keep that safe. Rules never click or type on chat, social or mail sites, whose terms ban automated sending: a rule may message you on WhatsApp, not your customers. And what happened never picks a page or types on it: an address, a selector and typed text are used as you wrote them, so a page cannot steer the rule by changing its own words.

A signed-in page, a public page or a growing list: which tool?

Three tools cover the three cases. Pick by where the page lives and what you want from it.

Why did my watch fire too often, or not at all?

A change is counted once it holds: a part that flickers while the page loads does not fire until it settles. If a watch fires on every visit, you have picked a part that changes on every load (a timestamp, a rotating banner): pick a steadier element, such as the price itself, or give it a condition (a number that crosses a line) instead of "changes at all".

If it never fires, check the hours you set, whether the rule is turned on, and whether the page now needs a sign-in that workspace does not have. A rule pauses between runs and has an hourly limit, and an action never starts another rule, so a page that changes every second is reported as it settles, not every tick. The run log shows each run and keeps no message text, sender or file name.

How does this compare with a hosted change-detection service?

A hosted service checks a page from its own servers on its own schedule, so it cannot see a page behind your login unless you hand it your password, and it charges by the number of pages and the check rate. A rule in Minda runs on your computer, in your own sign-ins, as often as you choose, on every plan with no count of pages, and costs no Minda AI credits unless you add an SI agent to read the change. The trade is that it runs only while Minda is open; the cloud automation covers public pages when your computer is off.

If you watch a competitor’s public price list, either works. If you watch your own orders page, a supplier portal, a university results page or a client’s dashboard, the watch has to run where you are signed in, and that is what a rule on your computer does.

Limits

  • A rule on your computer runs only while Minda is open; a page you are signed in to cannot be watched in the cloud.
  • A cloud automation sees public pages and APIs only: 20 turned on at once on Free, 50 on Pro.
  • A rule pauses between runs and has an hourly limit, so a page that changes every second is reported as it settles, not every tick.
  • Private windows trigger nothing.

Questions

Is monitoring a page free?

Yes. Rules on your computer and scheduled tasks are unlimited on every plan and use no Minda AI credits when they only watch and notify. Cloud automations are 20 turned on at once on Free and 50 on Pro.

Can I watch a page that needs my login?

Yes, on your computer: the rule runs in the workspace you made it in, with that workspace’s own sign-ins. A page you are signed in to is never read in the cloud.

How often does it check?

Every few seconds you choose on your computer, and only between the hours you pick if you set them. A scheduled task runs from every 15 minutes to a cron line of your own, while Minda is open.

Can the SI agent set it up for me?

Yes. Tell the AI chat, in Minda or in Minda SI for Chrome, what to watch and what to do. It makes the rule, runs it, tests it, says why one failed, and turns it off or deletes it when you ask.
