How Minda AI credits work: what spends them and what never does

What is a Minda AI credit?

A Minda AI credit is the unit you pay with when Minda Super Intelligence runs a request on its hosted models: the AI chat, the SI agent, deep research, the voice assistant, pictures, calls. Every plan has every function and every model, standard and premium alike; the plans differ by how many credits, free everyday replies, followed profiles and cloud automations they include, never by what you can do. You use everything and pay by use.

A standard message costs from 1 credit; a larger model costs more, and each model’s price in credits is shown before you pick it. Pictures, voice and video are priced by size and length. Failed and empty replies are never charged. Your credit history is kept for 92 days as model, credits and time, never the words. The smallest pack prices a credit at half a cent (1,000 for $5).

How many credits does each plan include?

Three plans, one product. Pro is Minda all in one: 2,000 credits a month (20 times Free), 100 free everyday replies a day, 2,000 followed profiles and 50 cloud automations. Max is Pro with three times the credits and the Minda Calls add-on included.

What spends credits?

• A message on a hosted model. From 1 credit on a standard model; a premium model uses more credits a request.
• Each turn of the SI agent. Every step the agent takes on a page is a request, with no daily limit on any plan: the agent is paid by use, not rationed.
• The People AI search. Finding a new person’s accounts across 34 sites uses credits; a public figure already in the shared pool costs nothing.
• Ask Minda AI steps in cloud automations. The automation itself is counted (20 turned on at once on Free, 50 on Pro); its AI step is a request like any other.
• The voice assistant and Minda Live. Each clip you say is a request of at least 1 credit on Minda AI, and a live conversation is billed by its replies.
• Pictures, voice and video. Priced by size and length.
• Your agent’s shop. The companion’s items, a bow, a crown, glasses, a scarf, a sparkle aura, a frame and four perks, cost 30 to 120 credits each, bought once and worn on every device; a purchase asks you first.

What never spends credits?

• Your own keys. An OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter or Qwen key in Settings → AI: unlimited chat and agent turns, with no daily limit and no credits; that provider bills you.
• Ollama on your computer. A local model costs nothing, and with Keep SI on this computer it is the only model Minda will use.
• Free everyday replies. Short questions on the everyday models cost no credits: 30 a day on Free, 100 on Pro, 200 on Max.
• Scrapes with no AI. A scrape task that picks values and sends new rows runs with no model.
• Timers and reminders. "Remind me at 15:30 to call Bob" is a notification with a sound, no AI run, no credits.
• Rules that only watch and notify. A rule that watches a part of a page and sends you a notice, an email or a WhatsApp message uses no model.
• Page tools and public numbers. Extract page data to Excel or CSV, auto-correct, a profile’s website traffic in People, and saving call audio: none of them calls a model.

Standard or premium: what is the difference in credits?

Every plan has the standard and the premium models since 2026-10-08. A standard model costs from 1 credit a message; a premium model is a larger model that uses more credits a request, and the AI chat shows each model’s price before you pick it. Pick the standard model for everyday questions, drafts and page reading, the premium one for a long agent task or a hard research question, and compare 2 or 3 models side by side on one question when you are not sure which earns its credits.

The models themselves are set by the operator and change over time, so this page names none; what stays fixed is the rule: from 1 credit a standard request, more for premium, failed and empty replies never charged.

How do I get more credits?

• Packs. 1,000 credits for $5, 5,500 for $25 or 11,500 for $50, bought once by any signed-in account on any plan, used after the month’s included credits, and they never expire.
• The default-browser bonus. +100 Minda AI credits a month on any plan while Minda is the default browser; the app reports it, and it is capped.
• The student offer. Pro at 50% off for 12 months with a school email address: a six-digit code is mailed to it, and it is checked again every year; month or year billing.
• Access credits. +1,000 credits a month on any plan, Free included, for people with disabilities, on their own word: one tick, no proof asked for or kept.
• A team. Seats are $30 a member a month or $300 a year, 2 to 500 seats, 14 days free without a card, and each member gets Pro: 2,000 credits, 100 everyday replies a day and 2,000 followed profiles. Joining a team is free, and a member with a plan of their own keeps the better of the two counts.

Where do I see my balance?

1. In Minda, look at the foot of the left rail: the account shows a pill with the credits left to spend under your avatar.
2. Open Settings → Account: your plan, Manage billing, See plans, and your credits and packs in one place.
3. Settings → Account → Minda AI credits → History shows the 30-day total, refunds, and one row per day with its requests, credits and top models.
4. On your phone or any computer, the account page lists credits at #/credits and usage at #/usage, with billing and plans beside them.
5. For what each request sent, the AI activity log lists provider, model, host, character counts and page titles, never the words.
